Azab 500 is a macrolide antibiotic. The drug has a bacteriostatic effect, i.e. inhibits the growth and reproduction of pathogenic microbes. Its action is due to the ability to inhibit the production of protein in microbial cells. At a higher concentration, the drug has a killing microbes (bactericidal) effect.
