Dragon Pharma Oxymetholon 50 mg/tab – Anabolic steroid (a means of enhancing protein synthesis). Stimulates the production of erythropoietin (stimulator of the hematopoietic function of the spinal cord), activates hematopoiesis (hematopoiesis). The use of the drug leads to increased synthesis of hemoglobin.
Indications for use:
Aplastic anemia (decrease in the blood content of red blood cells associated with a decrease in the hematopoietic function of the bone marrow); refractory (poorly treatable) anemia; myelosuppression (suppression of bone marrow activity) as a result of treatment with cytostatics (substances that suppress cell division) or radiation therapy.
Mode of application:
Adults appoint 2-5 mg / kg of body weight per day. Course duration – up to 6 months. The dose of the drug and the duration of the course should be changed depending on the therapeutic effect. When using the drug as part of combination therapy with cytotoxic drugs or radiation therapy, the maximum daily dose is 150 mg.
Treatment with the drug is preferably carried out under the control of the blood coagulation system.
Oxymetholon 50 mg/tab is prescribed in combination with other drugs used to treat anemia.
Hepatotoxicity (damaging effect on the liver), virilization (the appearance of female features in women / coarsening of the voice, development of muscles, etc. / under the influence of male sex hormones), nausea, vomiting, muscle cramps, chills, diarrhea; with concomitant anticoagulant (anti-clotting) therapy – bleeding.
Prostate carcinoma (carcinoma), breast carcinoma in men, nephrosis (kidney disease characterized by lesions of the renal tubules with edema and urine protein), nephrotic form of glomerulonephritis (chronic bilateral inflammation of the kidneys, characterized by edema, the appearance of protein in the urine, often lowering blood pressure), expressed impaired liver function, pregnancy, hypersensitivity to the drug. The drug is not prescribed to children.
The drug should not be used to build muscle due to serious side effects.
